Several changes are happening as part of the Aleph to Alma migration: - Aleph permalinks will continue to work. You do not have to change these.
- All migrated Aleph records will also have an Alma permalink. You can use either the Aleph or the Alma permalink.
- The behavior of the permalinks will change slightly. Rather than opening the full detail page, you will land on a search result of 1 record. The only title listed in the result list will be the record with that permalink
- The Aleph number will no longer display in the full record display—instead it will be the Alma MMS ID. The permalink that will display in the record is the Alma permalink. The Aleph ID will be in the 900 field of the MARC record in Alma.

Why is this important?
Persistent links allow us to link to a Harvard Library catalog record regardless of which system we use.
