Maintenance Sprint 4 (2/08/2022 - 2/21/2022) Recap

Here, at a summary level, is the work that was completed during Maintenance Sprint 4. In addition, a list of work that is in progress is also included below.

Completed Work

  •  Upgrades to Java components in seven applications to address security vulnerability
    • These include Streaming Delivery Service, LibraryCloud, Wordshack, DRS services, LTS OLIVIA image servlet, ID.lib, and FIG.lib service for Google Books
  • Upgrades of Apache Tomcat to the latest release in several applications to address security vulnerability
    • These include LibraryCloud, Wordshack, DRS services, ID.lib, and FIG.lib service for Google Books
  • Removal of old HULmail addresses from many applications and replacement with new Outlook group addresses to facilitate the retirement of LTS HULmail email server
    • These include Wordshack, LibraryCloud, JSTOR Harvester, DASH, AMS (Access Management), Page Delivery Service, FIG.lib service for Google Books, and ArchiveSpace.
  • Upgrades and security updates to several underlying services of Library.Harvard portal
    • These include the Composer tool and Drupal framework
  • Critical bug fixes for ACORN preservation tool
  • Critical bug fixes for JSTOR Harvester
  • Critical bug fixes for ArchiveSpace Public UI (HOLLIS for Archival Discovery)

In-progress work

  •  Upgrades of Java components are needed in several more applications
    • These include additional DRS components, ListView, and FITS (file information toolset) – targeted for completion by Tuesday, March 22
  • An additional PDF generation bug fix for ArchiveSpace Public UI (HOLLIS for Archival Discovery) – targeted for completion by Tuesday, March 22
  • Removal of old HULmail addresses is needed in two more applications to get the old LTS HULmail email server ready for retirement
    • These include DRS ingest and EAS (Electronic Archiving Service) - targeted for completion by Tuesday, April 5
