Due to SEVERE security issues, Windows XP systems are not allowed to be connected to any Harvard network. If you have one, please disconnect it immediately, it is endangering all the systems on the network.
XP systems are only allowed when directly connected to an instrument, but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES they are allowed to be connected to the network, please contact ithelp@harvard.edu if you have any questions.

- Click on "Start Menu"
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Go to "Network and Sharing Center"
- Click the link "View Status" by the connection you want to examine
- Click on Details and Locate the item labeled Physical Address, which is the MAC Address number

- Open the "Settings app"
- Go to Network & Internet
- Click on WiFi if you want the mac address from a wireless card
- Click on Ethernet if you want the mac address from a wired card
- Click on the network name to see its properties.
- On the next page, you will find the line Physical address(MAC).
