It looks to me like the ToprDOUT2's driver is coming closer to the desired waveshape than the IXDD614. However, it is also clear that the cable length would need to be kept extremely short to control the ringing.

Two changes here. Using 3" bare wire from driver to load. Also using Horowitz/Hill technique of measuring with 953-ohm resistors into coax, then into terminated scope, resulting in a 20:1 attenuation, but signals that's pretty close to the truth. Here's the setup:

Basically perfect. Now I'm going to a roughly 6" coax, same probing setup:
We're driving from the right foreground connectors. The background connectors would feed the scope. Again, 953 Ohm isolating resistors. Here's the scope:
Ringing from the poorly terminated 6" line is now visible.
