The Human Resource Services team is dedicated to supporting Harvard Library's community of talented individuals who work with faculty, students, and researchers to explore answers to intellectual questions, both enduring and new, and to seek solutions to the world’s most consequential problems.

We deliver responsive and effective Human Resource services and programs that address the multi-dimensional needs of employees and managers and that align with the mission and strategic priorities of the Harvard Library.  We believe an inclusive environment that cultivates and promotes diversity, understanding, respect, and collaboration across our workforce inspires and enables success.

Kim Van Savage, Director of Human Resource Services

Kim is responsible for prioritizing and coordinating the effective delivery of HR services and programs that address the multi-dimensional needs of employees and managers and that align with the mission and strategic objectives of the Harvard Library.

Lori Cawthorne, Senior Human Resources Consultant, Title IX Coordinator
Lori consults with and advises the Director of HR on diversity strategies, programs and initiatives. She creates and/or partners with other departments and units to develop programs and initiatives that reinforce diversity, inclusion, belonging and anti-racism in the workplace. Lori coordinates the Harvard Library Diversity Residency Program and provides HR Consulting for Information Technical Services (ITS). She advises managers and employees on HR policies and procedures relating to employment practices, policy interpretation and application, recruiting, performance management, compensation, union and employee relations, staff development and organizational development.

Renee DeBlois, Senior Human Resources Consultant
Renee consults with and advises managers and employees on HR policies and procedures relating to employment practices, policy interpretation and application, recruiting, performance management, compensation, union and employee relations, staff development and organizational development. Renee provides HR consulting for Access Services, Digital Strategies and Innovations, Imaging Services, and Preservation Services.

Audrey HarmonSenior Human Resources Consultant (Faculty of Arts and Sciences)
Audrey consults with and advises managers and employees on HR policies and procedures relating to employment practices, policy interpretation and application, recruiting, performance management, compensation, union and employee relations, staff development and organizational development. Audrey provides HR consulting for Harvard College Library including Collection Development, Services for Academic Programs, Arts and Special Collections, Science and Engineering Services,  Maps and Media Services, and HCL Operations.

Marybeth Godwin, Senior Recruiter
Marybeth provides recruitment support and advises managers and employees on HR policies and procedures relating to employment practices, policy interpretation and application, performance management, compensation, union and employee relations, staff development and organizational development.  Marybeth provides HR consulting for Archives and Records Management, Administration and Finance, Library Learning, and the Office for Scholarly Communication (OSC).

Valerie Sacchetti, Human Resources Administrator
Valerie partners with CADM/Library and FAS HR to provide HR administrative direction and support to HL and HCL managers and staff aligning processes with University, FAS HR and CADM guidelines, practices, procedures and systems. Valerie partners with HCL managers and consults with FAS HR to oversee administrative processes and system logistics regarding new positions, job grading, reclassifications, market and equity reviews, FLSA classification, and wage and salary administration, performance management, and issue resolution.

Annie Weiss, Human Resources Coordinator
Annie guides and processes full cycle employment transactions including new hires, position changes, transfers and terminations. Annie provides responsive and effective HR services and administrative program support for HL and HCL.
