LTS is currently experiencing an unplanned outage that affects delivery of page-turned digital objects. We are currently investigating and will resume service as soon as possible. Until full service is restored, the following steps should allow documents to load and display successfully in the Harvard Library Viewer.

Note: This workaround will only work for documents that have previously been viewed in the Harvard Library Viewer. Some documents may still generate an error.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Load the document you wish to view using the Harvard Library URN. Example: http://nrs.harvard.edu/urn-3:FMUS.MCZ:2258537
  2. When you get the PDS "Invalid Object" error, copy the ID number from the end of the page URL. Example: For the page URL http://pds.lib.harvard.edu/pds/view/11341569 , copy the ID number 11341569
  3. Paste the ID number into the following URL format where it says [ID-number]: https://iiif.lib.harvard.edu/manifests/view/drs:[ID- number]
    Example: https://iiif.lib.harvard.edu/manifests/view/drs:11341569

  4. This URL should load and display the document successfully.

We apologize for the inconvenience during this disruption of normal service.
