How to use the Intranet:

Intranet project timeline

Ahead of the launch of the new School website in early September, we are transitioning our school's internal content to an intranet. The current content of the legacy flagship website will be migrated as following:

  • Content that is primarily intended for the Harvard Chan internal community (with HarvardKey authentication): Intranet
  • Content that is primarily intended for the public (external audience): New flagship website

Below is an overview of the project milestones:

PhaseTimeframeKey objectives and tasks

Content review

July 8 - August 8

Departmental staff with an intranet site will be invited to review their content, remove any public-facing content intended for the new School flagship website and organize the remaining internal content. At this point, members of the community should not be invited to visit intranet sites and the legacy flagship site should remain the main source of information.

Community rollout

August 8 - September 3

With your prior approval, your new intranet site will be made available to the Harvard Chan community. We also strongly encourage at this point to remove any duplicative content from the legacy flagship site to avoid confusion and start including links, when relevant, to the intranet on the new flagship site.

New flagship site launch

Early September (specific date to be communicated by the Office of Communications later this summer)

At this point the legacy flagship site will be taken offline and it is critical that users have fully transition their internal facing content to the Intranet by this date.

We appreciate your patience and collaboration as we make this transition. If you encounter any issues during the content review phase, please reach out to webteam@hsph.harvard.edu.
