By default, the SUSHI harvesting job harvests all COUNTER data from all active SUSHI accounts. The job runs some time between Friday evening and Saturday morning, depending on your time zone.

Manual Usage Data Loads in Alma

COUNTER reports can be manually added and deleted by staff with Vendor Manager or Usage Data Operator roles. As of June 2023, uploaded COUNTER R5 usage files must be in one of these formats: xlsx, xls, csv, txt, tsv, or json.

See Ex Libris documentation on Manually Uploading and Deleting COUNTER data.

Deleting COUNTER data that has already synced to Analytics will be deleted from Analytics after the regularly scheduled overnight update.

Viewing Usage Data in Alma

As of October 2022, the integrated (COUNTER 4) usage that previously displayed with an electronic title in Alma is no longer visible. Since vendors have transitioned to COUNTER 5, this functionality has ceased to have real benefit; Ex Libris may relaunch this functionality at a future date using COUNTER 5 data.  As of October 2022, there is no timeline for completion of such an enhancement.

  1. To view usage data for a title, search for the Electronic title and click Other details
  2. Click on the number for Combined Usage. A pop-up window from Analytics will display.
  3. To see more data, click Expand. You will be sent to Analytics, where you will see platform data, and you can adjust dates of usage.
