The Name Resolution Service (NRS) is a service for creating, maintaining, and resolving URNs (also called persistent identifiers or names). This User Guide defines important concepts associated with NRS operations and describes procedures for creating and maintaining Naming Authorities and URNs. The Name Resolution Service is developed and maintained by Library Technology Services (LTS).
