Status & Milestones
Complete March 31 to May 20, 2026: User Training & User Testing in DRS3 Workspace
Originally scheduled from 3/31 to 4/28.
Users will be trained in the operation of the DRS3 Workspace. Users should plan to use this time to test and update their existing workflows in the new interface.
Training and testing will occur in the pre-production (or QA) environment.
Test content should be suitable for general visibility. Please do not deposit HRCI Level 4 materials.
Only test content should be deposited.
Use of DRS2 for deposit, viewing, editing (within a 30-day rolling window), and downloading continues until April 14.
Complete April 14 to May 20, 2026: Deposit and Edit Freeze
Originally scheduled from 4/14 to 4/28.
Deposits to DRS2 stop.
Deposit of non-test material to DRS3 not yet available.
All deposits frozen until April 28, 2026.
Edit of legacy content (deposited before April 14) frozen until the final production release (anticipated Fall 2026).
CURRENT May 20 to summer 2026: DRS3 Initial Release (Workspace Only)
Originally scheduled for 4/28.
Production deposits to DRS3 begin.
Please note L4 content should not be deposited when DRS3 initially goes live.
The team is adding security measures to ensure L4 content is sufficiently supported. We will inform depositors as soon as L4 content can be securely ingested.Users may mark material in DRS3 as “Ready for Archive” so that it is automatically moved to the Archive environment when it becomes available.
Please do not delete objects after they have been archived. You may delete objects before they are marked as “Ready for Archive” and you may continue to delete files after objects have been marked as “Ready for Archive.” If you make changes to objects after archiving, please re-archive them so that the new changes are propagated correctly.
Legacy content (deposited before April 24, 2026):
Viewable (read-only) in DRS2 Web Admin.
Single-object download available in DRS2 Web Admin.
Bulk download available by request via LTS ticket.
Delivery continues uninterrupted.
New content (deposited on or after April 28, 2026):
Viewable, editable, and downloadable in DRS3 Workspace.
Delivery via IDS, PDS, and FDS is uninterrupted.
Delivery via SDS and Full Text Search are paused.
Ingest of ACORN and DASH content is paused.
DASH content continues to be delivered via DASH.
UPCOMING Summer 2026: Subsequent DRS3 Releases (Workspace Only, Added Functionality)
Full Text Search on deliverable materials resumes.
Delivery via SDS resumes.
Ingest of ACORN and DASH content resumes.
Editing of legacy content continues to be unavailable.
Single-object download of legacy content continues to be available in DRS2 Web Admin.

Fall 2026: Full DRS3 Production Release (Workspace and Archive)
The DRS3 Archive becomes available.
Content deposited on or after April 28, 2026 that was marked “Ready for Archive” is pushed to the Archive.
Legacy content is fully viewable, editable, and downloadable in DRS3.
Web Admin is decommissioned.
