Chile Trip Planning
Chile Trip Planning
Planning for the next trip to Chile (tentatively scheduled for January 2023)
Things to do:
- install anemometer power supply, if not done already
- install remotely controlled power strip
- install new fiber-slit coupling system for OSELOTs
- two options: glue the current fiber mount to slit, or use Sasha's new system
Things to acquire/bring:
- remotely controlled power strips (PDUs)
- backup 5 mm slit for OSELOTs
- Sasha's new OSELOTS fiber coupling system
- new lithium battery
Sept 11 2022 planning for Nov 2022:
A. revision of image quality instrumentation
B. revive top end tension meter- requires taking oscilloscope with Fourier analysis.
Both of these should require only power, no exiting cables.
- move differential temperature sensors onto telescope trusses
- extra cable, soldering iron, hand tools, heat shrink, power strip and extension cord
- find source of short and eliminate it
- perhaps mount anemometer on fork mount?
- install new anemometer power supply, probably redo connections to lab jack if it's moved
- check (and possibly redo) OSELOTS alignment
Pre-requisites: 1) Ship box of stuff to Pachon, 2) verify data paths back to Boston
