Digital Preservation Services (DPS) incubates a variety of experimental and innovative projects with an aim towards sustaining authentic user experiences with digital artifacts. The projects listed below are in the beta and/or developmental phase. If you have questions about their status or how to get involved, please contact the DPS team at digipres@hu.onmicrosoft.com.

Emulation as a Service Infrastructure (EaaSI)

Harvard Library is a member of the Software Preservation Network and a pilot participant in Yale University's Emulation as a Service Infrastructure (EaaSI) program. Read more about this pilot program.

Alternative preservation storage solutions

The mission of DPS includes safeguarding and sustaining Harvard's digital collections, no matter the preservation solution. While the Digital Repository Service is our centrally-supported solution, DPS investigates and assists in brokering contracts with alternative options. Below are some current storage solutions we are involved in testing and utilizing.
