CATALOGERS:
Review Cart (items that will be reviewed by Marylene, newly purchased and gift items not going into a collection such as cul pams or boxed romances)
Once cataloged
- go to Fulfillment > Scan in items
- select "review shelves" from Set Status To menu
- Scan in barcode
These items are still in a tech services work order, the status will be review shelves.
Ready for shelf cart (items not being reviewed by Marylene, ex. cul pams, health and hygiene pams, items from ms collections)
Once cataloged
- go to Fulfillment > Scan in items
- Choose the YES button next to done
- Scan in barcode
The work order for these items is now complete, the status will be in transit until HD has processed them for offsite or they have been scanned in using Reading Room location in Alma for onsite.
LIBRARY ASSISTANT:
Final QC check for books/pamphlets/videos going to HD in grey bins. Note: Books/pamphlets staying onsite have a different workflow.

4. Check that book is covered (mylar or CoLibri) and has a GIFT BOOKPLATE pasted in if it is a gift.
5. Scan in item barcode of each book. Check that the destination and request/process type become the following:

NOTE: If these fields say something else, put book aside for librarian.
6. Place in grey bin so books do not readily shift. Bins to Once all the materials have been scanned and proofed, bring them down to the HD Room (008 in the basement) and pack them into the gray bins (only gray–this indicates new transfers, rather than red which is for returning materials to HD that had been recalled). For more information about packing up materials, see this guide from HD. Bins should weigh no more than 35 lbs (approximately).
7. Have librarian place media pick-up request for HD pick-up After all the bins are packed, submit a pickup request to HD using the Pickup Request Form to indicate how many bins are ready.
