Setting up Aeon Web Delivery Folder
This first part will help you set up the FTP access to let you drag and drop items from your computer to Aeon for delivery
- Navigate to Start Menu > Computer-HOU-[YOURUSERNAME]-PS (name might slightly differ)
- Right click on the right side of window
- Choose "Add a Network Location"
- Click "Next"
- Make sure "Choose a custom network location" is chosen, then click "Next"
- Type "ftp://216.54.119.57" in the "Internet or network address" box, then click "Next"
- Uncheck "Log on anonymously" and type "pdf" in the "User name" box, then click "Next"
- Change the name for the network location to something useful to you, like "Aeon Web Delivery," then click Next
- Click "Finish" (leaving "Open this network location when I click Finish" checked)
- Type "mab6vEveSA" in the password field, and check off "Save password" at the bottom in the window that opens. Click "Log on"

pdf That's the UN/PW pair to connect to ftp://216.54.119.57 (which is the Aeon production server). This will only give access to write new files to the PDF folder. You cannot edit or delete anything, and you cannot edit any web files Files allowed: JPG, PDF, GIF, PNG, TIFF, and ZIP. |
Delivering Images with Aeon Web Delivery
Some details about delivering images/files with Aeon Web Delivery
- You must navigate to the PDF folder and put JPG, TIF or PDF files there
- JPG, TIF images or PDFs must be named with the transaction number of the Aeon Order/Request (e.g. 175196.pdf)
- Only one JPG, TIF, or PDF may be delivered per transaction number (ZIP files would be a way to attach multiple images for one transaction)
- The Order status of the transaction(s) must be "Order Delivered" for the image to be accessible to the reader.
- You should use the email template "ItemDelivered" (on the Email tab of a transaction) to let the reader know their order is ready
Creating ZIP files for multiple JPG images
You may need to deliver individual images in some instances, when a single JPG or PDF won't suffice. Here's a quick guide to creating a ZIP file in Windows.
- Select all of the images you would like to deliver via ZIP file
- Right-click on the selected images
- Choose "Send to" > "Compressed (zipped) folder"
- Rename the ZIP folder with the transaction number (e.g. 175196.zip)
- Drag and drop or copy to pdf folder in the Aeon Web Delivery
- Follow instructions (4) and (5) above in "Delivering Images with Aeon Web Delivery"
- Be aware, that some readers may have trouble opening ZIP folders
