Staff accounts
A staff account is needed to access the Aeon Client (staff) application, or to access to the Aeon Customization Manager and Staff Manager applications. Note that special privileges and training are required to access the Customization Manager or Staff Manager applications.
Aeon Client, Layout templates
Layout templates are used to customize how information fields are arranged within the client. The goal is to organize and emphasize information based on the kinds of work staff perform using the client.
- Harvard's Aeon installation currently has three layout templates: Staff, Student, and PRES – Preservation Services.
- The Staff template is used by all staff except for Preservation staff.
- The Student template is not being used.
- The PRES - Preservation Services template is for the use of Preservation Services staff (e.g., Imaging Services, Weissman Preservation Center, Collections Care, Media Preservation).
