All books are relocated to one of two locations, either Harvard Depository or Houghton Library stacks.

Phase Boxes

  • After labeling and barcoding is complete, change the location information in Aeon to “Request Finished.” and place the books on the “To be shelved” shelves in Houghton Library.

Non-phase Box Cases

  • All other cases are sent to Harvard Depository. Cases are packed in gray bins available from Harvard Depository. Order gray bins at this URL under Container Supply Order Form https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/hdep/online-forms. Use scrap paper and bubble wrap to pack the bins so cases do not move around in the bins. Do not overfill the boxes. If you cannot lift the bin, you overpacked it. On average, 15 medium-sized books fit in a bin. Secure bins shut with a plastic zip tie on one side only. Place bins in the designated place in Pusey TS area.
