Communication within and between teams is necessary to handle this multi-part workflow. In light of health issues around close contact and conversation, the primary mode of communication is a private Teams channel, to which all on-site scanning staff are added.
Teams Channel
- This channel is the general communications path for on-site staff
- Minimum daily usage
- Beginning of shift - Staff check in, confirm the orders they are working on for the shift
- End of shift - Staff check in, update status on current orders
- Location update - Staff check in with locations for paging, or when making deliveries/pick-ups from Imaging Services
- When using the Teams channel, if you are writing directly to a colleague, use the @ symbol to tag them, so they are notified of your message
- Minimum daily usage
Issues with Orders
- If there is a preservation/handling question about an order after it has been paged, staff should review the "Preservation Concerns" page on this Wiki and/or ask their question on the "Tele-Assessment" Teams channel
- If there is a question about practicalities around an order, how to use the scanners, whether an order needs to go to Imaging services, contact Mary Haegert on Teams
Contactless Hand-Off Cart
- There is a contactless hand-off cart in P1 for intra-team exchanges
- If materials are paged and there are questions about whether they can be scanned in-house, they can be left on the contactless hand-off cart for review
