More information on Item Process Types (IPS)
The Aleph Item Process Type migrated to Alma Item Internal Note 3. Most items with an IPS migrated as not in place. More information on specific item processing statuses that were handled exceptionally below.
Note, you can use the Alma advanced search to find items by searching for
CA, CL, NA, NP, OI, OR, TD. In Aleph, these item processing statuses indicated that these items were still in acquisitions workflows and not available for use. These items migrated to Alma without a receiving date.
HD/RD. In Aleph, items needed and IPS of HD and a Remote Storage Flag for appropriate terms of use (loan policies), relay of patron requests to HD/ReCAP for processing, and transit loan functionality when items were return to remote storage. In Alma, this functionality is associated only with the location code. All items that are at remote storage locations need to have an HD or RD location. HD and RD items migrated as in place, unless they were out on loan at the time of migration.
