You may see the text "Online access not found" when you are viewing a record from one of our data providers (and not a record we cataloged here at Harvard), and we do not have full-text access to that resource.

What happens in that scenario is the following: 

  • HOLLIS sends a query to our local data source (Alma) to see if we any records with the same ISBN or ISSN
  • If a similar item is found (based on matching ISBN / ISSN), availability information for that item will be displayed
  • If no match is found, HOLLIS will present an option to request the resource via Interlibrary Loan 


In the example below, the record shown is an ebook version of Imaging Xerxes. We do not subscribe to this ebook, therefore we do not have full-text online access. HOLLIS displays our holdings for the print version held at Widener Library. You can use the Request Pick Up link to place a hold on the book.
