New receipts

Once a year, we update this page listing newly cataloged items. http://hcl.harvard.edu/libraries/loebmusic/isham/guides/acquisitions.cfm

Sandi-Jo Malman has a COGNOS report that can run on materials with 852 $c MERR in the holdings record and a year of cataloguing. Early each calendar year, ask her to run the report and generate a list of Merritt Room materials catalogued in the previous calendar year.

Antiquarian catalogs

Isham maintains a list of antiquarian catalogs, here: http://hcl.harvard.edu/libraries/loebmusic/isham/guides/antiquarian.cfm

Catalogs are collected and, periodically, the list updated with new additions. The list is uploaded to the Isham website by HUIT staff.

This is the most recent iteration of the list. Download it, update it, send the updated version to HUIT then delete the old list from this wiki and replace it with the one you've just updated.

Instructions on updating the antiquarian catalogs list:

  1. Sort the catalogues by company (for instance, Musikantiquariat Paul van Kuik all in one pile).
  2. Sort those piles by number.
  3. Update the list of catalogues (below) with the numbers of the items you have in front of you.
  4. File the items in the appropriate boxes.
  5. Send the updated list, with changes tracked, to HUIT staff. As of 11/15/2016, it goes to Christine Boehler and Enrique Diaz.
  6. Delete the list below and upload the new list you've just created.

Composer catalogs

We also collect composer catalogs, listed here: http://hcl.harvard.edu/libraries/loebmusic/isham/guides/composer.cfm

Instructions on updating the composer catalogs list:

  1. Sort the catalogues by composer's last name.
  2. Update the list of catalogues (below) with the names. You may need to look up authorized forms of names; use the Virtual International Authority File, http://viaf.org/, for this.
  3. File the items in the appropriate boxes.
  4. Send the updated list, with changes tracked, to HUIT staff. As of 11/15/2016, it goes to Christine Boehler and Enrique Diaz.
  5. Delete the list below and upload the new list you've just created.
