[DAVID5] Setup for Two Cameras and Turntable

How to set up the two camera mode and automatic turntable with DAVID5 software.

0. Equipment Setup

Refer to steps 3 to 10 in the official DAVID5 Setup Guide.

1. Setup Menu

Setup Type
select "Custom Structured Light Setup"
Check on "Connect Turntable" to enable the automatic turntable.

Projector Setup
If you connected the projector correctly, Acer K132 should show up.

Camera Setup
leave the Frame Rate Limit to "None." If you encounter problems such as the turntable not functioning or a camera disconnecting while scanning, try changing this to 30.
Make sure both cameras, the DAVID-CAM-3.1-M and HP 3D 2.3MP Cam pro are turned On.

You will see both camera views show up on the right side of the window under Camera Control. You can click on either camera view to see this view enlarged in the middle of the window.

Calibration
Follow the DAVID5 official Calibration tutorial.

Once you are done calibrating, you can go to the Scanning menu by selecting the "Scanning" tab at the top of the window. 

2. Scanning Menu

Scanning

Change the mode to "Automatic Turntable."
The "Number of Scans" determines how many scans or the number of stops the turntable will make during it's 360 degrees rotation. You can see the "Rotation Between Scans" update depending on the Number of Scans.
Check "Auto. Grab Texture" to enable capturing texture data if you need it. 

Before clicking Scanning follow the next step.

3. Shape Fusion Menu

Alignment

Set mode to "Around Axis" and set Y=1. Leave X and Z as 0, since the turntable is rotating around the Y axis.

Check "Use Texture" and leave it at 80. You can change this number to whatever works best when you are aligning post-scan.

Now Go back to the Scanning menu and click the Scan button. This should start the scan.
