Clean Mesh surface

• Lasso all floating pieces that are unnecessary and delete.
• Close gaps in mesh with "Fill Holes" tool
• There are different surface fill types - Curvature, tangent, and flat. Choose the option that best matches the topology of the surrounding mesh area.
• Use the bridge fill to create connections between floating mesh pieces. Then use the partial or complete hole fill to incrementally close all gaps in the mesh.
• Then run the mesh doctor command which will automatically identify problem areas and fix them.
• You can then use the shell command to give your mesh surface a thickness or close all holes entirely to have a watertight, 3D printable mesh. 
• Save you file as .stl

Decimate

The decimate mesh option will allow you to reduce the number of triangles for a smaller and more manageable file. You can reduce the triangle count by a target value or by a percentage reduction.
