This page describes how to page material from the stacks. Current security procedures require an additional staff member or student when transporting material through public areas.

  1. Go to the Order Submitted Queue in Aeon.
  2. Requests are generally answered in turn, so start with the oldest request in the queue.
  3. If you are working with a patron, put your initials in the paging note. (You can do this before paging to ensure that no one else works on the request.)
  4. Print call slip.
  5. To determine where material is located consult the Call Number Finder located in the Public Services Shared folder.
  6. Bring cart to transport material if paging more than 1 or 2 items. If the item is oversize, use a flatbed truck and ask another staff member to assist you.
  7. Once material has been paged and delivered, change the Aeon status to Photoduplication In-House.
  8. If you are not working on the request right away, move the Aeon order status to Order Under Review
