Security
We restrict access to the secure spaces of the Isham Memorial Library suite to a limited number of people beyond the staff of the Music Library. These spaces are the Merritt Room and the Tintoretto Room.
With the exception of custodial staff, no non-library personnel may be left unaccompanied in the secure spaces of Isham. This includes HUIT staff as well as tradespeople.
Please do not admit non-custodial, non-Music Library staff to the secure spaces of Isham. If you see someone unaccompanied in these spaces who should not be there, please introduce yourself and explain that you would like to know their name so that you may share it with the Keeper of the Isham Memorial Library. Please then speak with the Keeper of the Isham Memorial LIbrary immediately. If the Keeper is not available, speak with the Richard F. French Librarian.
Note that occasionally there are scheduled classes and meetings in the Merritt Room. These are approved by Music Library personnel and appear on the shared Outlook calendar for the Merritt Room.
In general, if you see something that seems like a security concern, please let the Keeper know as soon as possible.
