Other Discoveries

4/28 tests and notes

  • SEC items can be loaned at SEC. Good. (See above "Loans of SEC GEN Items at SEC")
  • SEC items cannot be loaned a non-SEC locations without an override. This surprised Julie, but is fine. (Not documented above. Tested as an afterthought.)
  • SEC items can be returned at SEC. Good. (See above "Returns of SEC GEN Items at SEC")
  • SEC items can be returned at non-SEC locations. Good.
    • 32044147090542
    • Returned at HKS
    • Received message to route item to SEC as expected
  • non-SEC items can be loaned at SEC. This scenario seems unlikely, but also not an issue.
    • Julie Petzold as a "student"
    • Widener item 32044151944428
    • Due date is as expected
  • non-SEC items can be returned at SEC. Good (for hold processing).
    • Local staff will have to be trained to not return non-SEC items for fear of triggering an SEC hold before it could be properly processed for the locker.
