Current request scanning workflow

  • All scan requests will initiate in HOLLIS, with a link to ILLiad
  • With a variety of ILLiad routing rules, IDS logic, and system addons in place, requests will flow through the following systems for fulfillment:
    1. Rapid
    2. OCLC
    3. Docline 
  • Requests will be tracked in ILLiad
  • Fulfilled scans will be emailed in ILLiad automatically
  • Emails are sent from ill@harvard.edu; responses go directly to LibAnswers for staff response; staff can reactivate and request resends from within ILLiad

SCSB request scanning workflow


Note

Need to confirm where emails are from (ReCAP) 


  • If unable to be fulfilled via Rapid, OCLC, or Docline, scan requests will be routed to SCSB queue, where a system addon will pick up the request and send it to SCSB
  • Request will close in ILLiad and is no longer tracked there.
  • ReCAP will scan the request and email it via Article Exchange directly to the patron.
