Other Discoveries

  • SEC GEN items cannot be loaned at a non-SEC Circ Desk without override--this is probably a non-issue
  • SEC GEN items cannot be returned at a non-SEC Circ Desk without override--this is a problem as library users can return materials to any library and therefore the appropriate routing messages do not appear (and the item remains on the user's account)
  • non-SEC items cannot be returned at SEC--is this an issue? probably not as returning an item will send items in transit, except if the item is destined for an SEC hold which, in this case, would start the hold-shelf clock.
