TIFF to JP2
JP2 to TIFF
Windows solution (one of many): IrfanView
1. Open IrfanView
Open one or more JP2 file.
2. Select Batch Conversion/Rename option
3. Select files or files to convert
4. Select output directory
5. Select TIFF, no compression (or JPEG, or something else)
6. Click Start Batch Button
Done! You should find your TIFF files in the output directory you selected.
Mac solutions (two of many): Preview & Graphics Converter
- Mac users have it easy.The default MacOS image viewer application, Preview, will open a JPEG2000 file.
With the file open, select the Export option, and then save the duplicate image as a TIFF or JPEG.
2. GraphicConverter is another option; while not free it is a fairly inexpensive tool for the batch conversion of image files.
2. Linux/Unix (one of several): GraphicsMagick
GraphicsMagick supports JPEG2000 and many other formats, and command-line conversion is easy:
prompt:~$ gm convert input_file.jp2 output_file.tif
