This import profile accepts a single MARCXML record for loading into Alma. The record should be UTF8. 

File requirements

• UTF8 encoding format
• Non-Latin fields should be in 880 pairs
• Format: MARCXML

Matching

• If the uploaded record has an 001 and it matches an Alma MMS ID, the Alma record will be overlaid (local fields will be protected).  See list of protected fields here: https://wiki.harvard.edu/confluence/x/y1HKDQE
  • If the target record is locked by a staff member in the Metadata Editor, it will not be overlaid
• If the uploaded record has no 001, it will load as a new record

Holdings/Items

• No inventory will be created.
