Like most special collections libraries, Houghton has a great deal of material that defies the available standard forms of description. Strategies for making this material accessible have developed over the years, largely on a case-by-case basis. The following section attempts to document some of the decisions that have been made in cataloging a variety of less-than-typical collections. The list will be added to as we address new collections in the future.
