Arrangement and description of collection
At this point the cataloger will physically sort and arrange the collection. Best practices for handling various formats and types of materials, including description examples, are detailed in a later section of this manual.
Keep a list of end-processing and minor preservation problems you encounter that might be helpful when the collection is end-processed and give it to the Manuscript End-processing Assistant when the project is done.
Note: If any major preservation issues become apparent during processing, raise them with the Preservation Librarian and/or the AL for Technical Services.
