Scheduling and Prioritizing

Scheduling and order fulfilment prioritization are both in process, and may change at any point. This information is important for both safety reasons, regarding hand-offs between teams, and for staff assisting patrons

  • Scheduling and Prioritizing

    • Current Schedule as of July 27th

      • Team A: Four staff members:  9:30-1:30 Mon/Tue

      • Team B: Two staff members starting the week of August 10: Wed

      • Team C: Two staff members starting at the end of August: Fri

    • Scheduling and Hand-offs
      • Hand-offs no longer require a 24 hour waiting period
      • Please leave items the contactless cart located near the Globe replica
      • HD items will be on the baker's rack behind the student desks in Technical Services
    • Prioritization as of October 5th

      • First Priority: Any order for a Harvard Class - check activities

      • Second Priority: Any order from Harvard affiliates - check for @harvard.edu or @g.harvard.edu
      • Third Priority: Outside Researchers 
      • Fourth Priority: Outside Classes
    • Prioritization as of July 27th

      • Highest priority for order fulfillment goes to local requests for Fall 2020 instructional needs

        • The month of August, only local, Harvard requests will be fulfilled - COMPLETE

          • After this period, outstanding orders will be addressed before any new, outside orders are accepted - COMPLETE

    • Order Selection
      • As of August 28th, on-site staffers can select any open order with a creation date post August 21
        • As of Oct 5, on-site staffers can select any open order from the top of the queue down- following prioritization guidelines
      • Orders marked "Studio photography" should be skipped- those need to go to Imaging Services and are handled separately 
      • Prioritizing
        • Check for Harvard orders
          • First check Activities for classes with requests
          • Second check grid for requests coming from a "@harvard.edu/@g.harvard.edu" domain
        • Select orders based on creation date, in reverse chronology (oldest first)
