Known issues and limitations

1. Files uploaded to WordPress are publicly accessible

Last updated 10/25/2024

Documents and images uploaded to WordPress (such as .PDF, .PPT, .DOC, .JPG, .PNG, etc.) are publicly accessible independently of your site access restriction. If you need to restrict access to a specific file, please upload it to SharePoint and include the SharePoint link on your intranet site. We are looking into ways to improve this.

2. Edit menu bug

Last updated 12/20/2024

Intranet site owners are unable to edit (re-save) the menu when existing menu pages have been deleted as this creates a page not found conflict in the edit menu interface. Please contact the helpdesk@hsph.harvard.edu to remedy the issue.

3. Edit Student Gateway menu bug

Last updated 1/9/2025

Intranet site owners of the Student Gateway are experiencing a timeout error when trying to save the menu. For now, these users can email helpdesk@hsph.harvard.edu and we will adjust the menu as needed.
