SPF, DKIM, and DMARC

The SPH IT Department works very closely with HUIT to ensure the SPH Emma account and all subaccounts sending from the hsph.harvard.edu domain are compliant with the latest SPF, DKIM, and DMARC requirements for senders.

Check Deliverability Status

If you navigate to Subaccount Settings > Account > Deliverability you can check the status of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC compliance for your sending domain.

SPF Warning is a False Positive

If you see a warning saying that Emma is "Unable to find _spf.e2ma.net or all of Emma's IP CIDR ranges in your SPF record(s)" like in the screenshot below you can safely ignore it. This is a false positive caused by Harvard having deployed a product called Valimail to manage SPF records. Among other things, it hides the full contents of a domain's SPF record from requestors. See this Emma documentation for more detail.
