Accessing Houghton shared macro files

You can open and use as many macro files as needed in Macro Express. Currently, Houghton has two shared macro files: Books.mex and Manuscripts.mex. These instructions explain how to open each file.
Houghton Books macro file (Books.mex)
Note: Before opening the Books macro file, make sure that you have uninstalled the old Houghton macro suite and updated your Macro Express read-only settings.
1. Open Windows Explorer (Win + e)
2. Open the Houghton Macros folder: H:\HOUGHTON\Technical Services\Shared\Macros\Houghton Macros
3. Double click on the Books.mex
4. Press <Ctrl><Shift>’ [quotation mark/apostrophe key]
- A menu should pop up and a red book icon should appear in your system tray. You should be able to run macros from the menu as usual. Report any problems you encounter with the menu or with individual macros

- If the menu does not appear, ask Houghton's Macro Express liaison for assistance
Houghton Manuscripts macro file (Manuscripts.mex)
1. Open Windows Explorer (Win + e)
2. Open the Houghton Macros folder: H:\HOUGHTON\Technical Services\Shared\Macros\Houghton Macros
3. Double click on the Manuscripts.mex
Note: As of 11/9/2012, neither a hotkey nor a menu has been set up for the Manuscripts file.
