We completed a visit to the Schmidt telescope at La Silla. 

We propose to mount the calibration injection system on the metal platform to the N of the pier, at the top of the stairs shown here: 
Platform is very solid, made of steel. 

Dimensions and available volume, side view: 

We'll have to drill and tap mounting points in the steel, most likely.
