Alma access to "Primo VE" site

Alma access to "Primo VE" site

Staff working in Alma may see several small changes beginning in February 2025. These changes relate to a new “Primo VE” service that we are evaluating. Primo VE is a different version of the software that we use to run HOLLIS. The site that you will be able to access from Alma IS NOT READY FOR REVIEW. You may access it from Alma if you wish, but it has not been customized for Harvard. We ask that you do not report issues to LTS since the site is not configured. LTS will be evaluating specific aspects of the software to determine whether it is a viable system for our requirements. If the initial evaluation is positive, LTS will configure the system and ask staff to review it. Further updates will be sent at key points during the evaluation.

What will you see in Alma?

The Alma home page will have a search box that goes to Primo VE.

You will see “Display in Discovery” menu options in various places in Alma. This will open the record page in Primo VE. The site has not been configured and is not ready for review. The MARC data elements have also NOT been configured and are not ready for review.
