OCLC Member Merge
Reporting duplicates in OCLC to be merged by Harvard staff
As of November 2018, Harvard has an OCLC Member Merge Team that is authorized to merge duplicates in OCLC. To report duplicates in OCLC to Harvard staff, please use this qualtrics form.
You may only use this form to report duplicates that are in the books format, either print or electronic. Once you fill out the form, a member of the OCLC Member Merge Team at Harvard will merge the duplicates in OCLC. They will contact you if they have any questions. You will be responsible for merging any duplicates, including moving accompanying inventory, in Alma.
Harvard is not authorized to merge bibs for non-book formats. These still need to be reported directly to OCLC. Use "Action --> Report error" in Connexion to report duplicates to OCLC. CONSER catalogers should continue to follow current protocols for reporting duplicates.
(If you are a member of the Harvard OCLC Merge Team and you get a new computer, you need to follow this video to enable OCLC Merge.)
As of April 2023: John Dickson handles requests on Mondays and Tuesdays. Anthony covers Thursdays and Fridays. Honor and Isabel cover Wednesdays and weekends on alternate months. Linda Isaac covers special collections merges.
