Harvard Borrow Direct Print Queues

When a user from another institution requests an item from Harvard, the request is sent to one of the Harvard Borrow Direct lending units for triage.

Borrow Direct looks at the library and collection display texts to determine which of the Harvard lending units should triage the request (known as “printing queue assignments”). Requests are distributed as follows:

If the request is fillable, the Harvard lending unit prints the request slip, pulls the item from the stacks, and sends it via the Harvard Courier to the central Borrow Direct Office (in Widener) for processing in the Relais staff interface.
