This field is used for uncontrolled related titles and uncontrolled analytical titles.  Uncontrolled means that the title is not controlled through an authority file or another bibliographic record.

subfields:        $$a - Uncontrolled related/analytical title

punctuation:     End with a full point; drop initial articles.

Use this field to record a title that is part of the material being cataloged and is by the same author as the main entry.

Not used for variant titles for the whole item; the appropriate field for that is 246.  If the work is by an author other than the main entry, the appropriate field is 700 with subfield $$t.
