Bibs and Holdings - Migration and Mapping

HVD01: All bibs from HVD01 were migrated excluding those marked as Deleted.

• All bibs went through Alma's authority control process. Outcome of Alma authority control process on migrated data

HVD60: All holdings from HVD60 migrated excluding those marked as Deleted. 

HVD30: Some bibs from HVD30 (Reserves library) were migrated into the insitutuional zone (these are no longer in a separate location from normal bibs). 

HVD40: Bibliographic records for items borrowed via ILL or Borrow Direct with active loans/holds were migrated to Alma.  These will be deleted after the item is returned to the lending library.

HVD03: No bibs from HVD03 (Resource library) were migrated. 

HVD02: No bibs from HVD02 (LC file) were migrated. 

Data changes:

• OCLC numbers: converted to community standard format:
  • Bibs, 035, e.g. e.g. 035__$$a(OCoLC)12345
  • Holdings, 079/0

Most fields were migrated. Also:

• HXX fields were migrated to 9XX fields
• 866, 867, 868 were migrated to 9XX fields
• See Harvard defined MARC fields for all details.
