R01 - Two-dimensional reflective imagery

Note on photographic prints

Suitable for all photographic collections. Capture procedures are tailored to the collection/item (e.g., light sensitive collections, varied emulsions and sizes, mounted and/or fragile photographs). Necessary for projects where exacting color and tonal matching is required.  Sometimes we refer this as "custom capture services" for photographic prints done in our D40 studio.  We also offer "rapid capture services" for photographic prints in L01 category.

• Items captured at highest resolution step (300 ppi, 450 ppi, 600 ppi, etc.) that fits the item.
• Items can be photographed with or without cover glass, or with plexiglass, or with a suspended raised glass.
• Items photographed with studio flash. Exposure to continuous lighting and ambient lighting can be minimized and flash exposure reduced for light sensitive items.
• Lighting can be filtered and adjusted for protection of the items and to achieve the best/desired results (UV cutoff, polarization, hard/soft).
• Image files processed in batches of similar emulsions or individually as needed to meet project color and tonal matching requirements.
