Finance - Differences from Aleph

Currency Conversion Rates: In Aleph, currency conversion rates were updated weekly by Harvard Library Finance. In Alma, these rates are updated on a continuous basis, fed into Alma automatically by a third party partner. (More information)

Budgets: In Aleph, the representation of specific funds in the chart of accounts were called budgets. In Alma, these are called Allocated Funds. 

Budget Permissions: In Aleph, access to budgets was authorized on each individual login. In Alma, access to allocated funds is authorized for each Technical Services Department, and users are associated with one or more Technical Services Department.
