Non Harvard Affiliate Registration
Visiting Scholar Jane Adams would like to view “Miscellaneous Persian drawings, ca. 1400-1700” held at Houghton Library. This is her first visit to Harvard to view special collection in Houghton Library so she needs to register for a Special Collections account. She goes to the Privileges office and uses the computer they have available for patrons to create Special Collections accounts.
Patron
Reads through the information and agrees to the terms and conditions
Completes registration page
o Required fields have red *
o Birth date must be entered certain way; Password must be certain length
o Affiliation and User Name will be set to zero if patron submits information without completing required fields correctly
o Patron receives email confirming registration
Privileges staff
Verify patron's identity using government issued identification:
o In Name field search for patron record by last name, first name
o In ID Type field enter the Issuing Code (state or country) followed by the last 4 digits of passport or driver’s license number
o Reset expiration date to a year from date patron is cleared
· Clear patron

§ Enters information in C-Cure system
§ Produces card with photo in privileges]
In Aeon client, right click over default patron picture, Select Image, Import Image, and navigate to correct image, select and save.
