Export bibliographic records

When to use
- This job may be used for one-time or periodic exports of a given set of titles numbering fewer than 10,000 bibs
- This job should not be confused with Alma publishing jobs, which publish incremental updates and deletesÂ
- This job can optionally include some, but not all, holdings fields.Â
- These holdings fields will be included if the Add Holdings parameter (not an exhaustive list): 852, 843, 853/863, 866
- These fields will not be included (not an exhaustive list): 506, 541, 561, 583, 856, 9XX

Exporting bibsÂ
Step 1: Create the set of All Titles or Physical Titles that you wish to export
- Please do not create sets of more than 5,000 records. If you need to export a larger set please contact LTS.Â
Step 2:Â Go to Admin > Run a job
- Choose Export Bibliographic Records
- Select your set
- Parameters:
- Physical format: XML will be MARCXML, binary will be a .mrc file
- Output format: your choice
- Number of records in file: One File
- Expand routine: leave blank for bib data only. Or choose Add holdingsÂ
- Add Holdings may include private data as noted by privacy indicators in relevant fields
- Holdings fields will be embedded in the bib record
- If there are multiple holdings they will be included
- Not all holdings fields will appear (e.g. no fixed fields)
- Export into folder: Private
- FTP configuration: leave blank
- Sub-directory: leave blank
Step 3: After submitting a job
- You will receive an email when the job is done (on production only)
- To access the records, go to Monitor Jobs > History and find your job.Â
- Click on the Report link, and there you will see "Link to Exported Records." After clicking this link you will see your file, which you can click to download.Â
