Conservation Treatment

After cataloging, if the cataloger determines that an item needs conservation work, consult with Department Head whether to:

• Place on "To measure for CMI box" shelf, OR

• Fill out "Treatment & Housing Request" form and place on "Conservation Waiting Shelf, Items to be Reviewed (by conservator)."

If the item in hand has a "Treatment & Housing Request" form already filled out and it has already been worked on, complete a 583 1_ field with appropriate notes based on whether conservation work was done onsite at Schlesinger or at Weissman (with an Acorn system#).
