Reporting to the Alma Executive Committee, the Technical Services Working Group will lead evaluating and informing use of Alma Technical Services functions. Scope of work includes use of Alma for acquisitions, e-resources, resource management and serials activities. This group will:
- Develop expert level knowledge of related Alma functions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine technical services needs
- Gather and track issues for Ex Libris for existing Alma functions and enhancement requests
- Liaise with Analytics Working Group to inform planning for analytics or repository reports, dashboards, and widgets
- Maintain and develop local documentation
- Maintain and develop training materials
- Liaise with the Fulfillment Working Group to inform cross function workflows
- Identify policy issue related to technical services
- Form ad hoc, short term advisory groups as needed when broader input is required
- Identify needs for assistive technologies to support workflow efficiencies or automation
- Communicate best practices to the Harvard community
