Inventory and Accession Numbers

There are two fields that are visible in Alma that require some explanation: an inventory number (in the item record) and an accession number (in the holdings record).

Harvard libraries do not typically use either of these numbers, but other Alma customers do and we see them in the shared interface.

Inventory number

This is a field in the Item record.
