Indexes in Alma
Out-of-the-Box Indexes (Not Configurable)
Notes about the default Alma indexes:
When indexes are available at the Title level (All Titles, Physical Titles, etc.), the indexes refer to elements at the bibliographic level.
For example, the All Titles: LC Call Number is an index of call numbers from the 050 field in the bibliographic record
When indexes are at the Physical Holdings/Items level, they refer to indexed elements from the holding/item
For example, Permanent Call Number is data from the 852
Some fields are available under Basic Search, others are only available under Advanced Search. Harvard can choose which indexes appear where.
