June 2022 Release - Harvard Highlights

Ex Libris Documentation

Harvard Alma working groups have summarized key updates below. See the Ex Libris monthly notes for complete details:

Analytics & Reporting

Resolved

  • The Fulfillment > Loan Details > Loan Note field did not display the last note added as expected. This was fixed.
  • The Physical Items > PO Line > PO Line Notes field displayed deleted notes. This was fixed and now this field displays only active notes.
  • The Analytics API did not work properly and displayed an internal server error. This was fixed.
  • (blue star)  The number of rows that were possible to export in formatted Excel format was limited. This was expanded to 1,000,000 rows.

Acquisitions/Finance

Resolved

  • Amounts from funds disappeared in Fund Transfers after selecting them from the drop-down. This was fixed.
  • PO number was not found in Po Line autocomplete when adding an invoice line. The indexing was fixed, and it is now possible to search the autocomplete using PO number.

Course Reserves/Leganto

Enhancements

  • Leganto now includes the parameter mark_as_broken_file_upload (Configuration > Leganto > General > Settings) which enables uploading a file to the broken link report. Now you can configure file upload for broken link reporting without impacting the ability to upload a file to a citation. Default is true. Max file size is 50 MB.
  • To automate the process of assigning reading lists to library staff for processing, we added the parameter auto_select_list_assignee (Configuration > Fulfillment > General > Other Settings). When a reading list is associated with a course and auto_select_list_assignee is set to true, the list is automatically assigned to a processing department operator (Configuration > Fulfillment > Courses > Processing Department > Operators tab) from the course's processing department at random. When set to false, the Assignee can only be set manually. The default setting for this parameter is false. For more information, see Assigning a Reading List Automatically.
  • Cite It! now supports CiNii.

E-Resources

Resolved

  • If a portfolio was saved with static URL linking, and a user tried to Test Access using a parser and parse parameter from inside the Portfolio Editor, Alma didn't calculate the Target URL correctly. This was fixed.
  • Associate standalone portfolios job report was sometimes showing an incorrect number of portfolios added. This was fixed.
  • Load Portfolios from a file, an ISBN starting with 979 is wrongly converted to ISBN-10. This was fixed.
  • In the Overlap Analysis Compare Collections job, partial coverage matches were sometimes returned as complete coverage matches. This was fixed.

Fulfillment

Resolved

  • Scan-in API was not working when a fulfillment note was set. This was fixed.

Resource Management

Resolved

  • After copying a field in the New Metadata Editor, copying external text and pasting still pastes the field. This was fixed.
  • When exporting a set of physical holdings, the export fails. This was fixed.
  • Implemented punctuation rules for Updated Bibliographic Records are incorrect for MARC 7XX subfield 'd' followed by subfield 't'. This was fixed. Updated the punctuation rules to be tagged '7XX $$d' followed by '$$t' punctuation to be added. If punctuation exists/does not exist, condition = -.
